So I couldn't narrow it down to just ten. Believe me, I tried. All of the books on this list have created a world that I want to live in and be a part of. I want to do something like that for other readers one day.
Until that day, I will continue to live in these worlds that these amazing authors created.
1. Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I don't really need to explain this one, do I ?
2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
This book....this book is amazing. It would be super amazing to have been the one to write this book. I wish I could jump straight into the book and live in it (even though that is probably not wise considering that there is a evil queen going around trying to kill everyone )
3. Heist Society by Ally Carter
I love absolutely this book. I loved the characters and the twist and turns in the plot-line. It wasn't predictable, which actually, the ending took me by surprise in a number of ways. I'm even beginning to be okay with partial third person narration, who would have thought. I would be delighted to have written this book.
4. The distance between us by Kasie West
After reading this book I became an instant fan of Kasie West. This book is lovely. This book is funny and cute. I loved it.
5. Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger
This book is pure, whimsical fun. I was not in the right frame of mind to enjoy this the first time I picked it up in order to try to read it. It’s got a very lighthearted approach to world building, and it wasn't until my second attempt that I actually appreciated that. But once I was in the mood for a carefree adventure, this was just the perfect fix for it. Plus the cover is nice.
6. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Come on, who would not want to write this book. I loved this book, and I am still in love with this book. Why wouldn't you want to write this book
